Eric Rosenblum
Eric S. Rosenblum spent seven years as a licensed real estate broker and appraiser in Levittown in the 1970's. He left in 1979 to attend Hofstra Law School, where he served as Associate Editor of the Hofstra Law Review and graduated “With Distinction” -- Hofstra’s equivalent of Summa Cum Laude.

While practicing law in Levittown, he served for seven years as Commissioner of the Nassau County Planning Commission (with exclusive jurisdiction over all subdivision in Nassau County, joint jurisdiction with other municipalities in zoning and environmental impact statements) and then for seven more years on the Board of Managers and then Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Nassau County Medical Center, shepherding its transition to a Public Benefit Corporation.

He has practiced in Levittown since 1982, focusing on Real Estate (representing purchasers, sellers and lenders), Zoning, Subdivision and Real Estate-related litigation. In 2005 he was appointed Chairman of the Nassau County Bar Association’s Real Property Committee. He chaired the Committee again in 2006, then in 2007, he was reappointed to that position for an unprecedented third term.

He is also a proud member of the Nassau Lawyers Association, and in 2007 was elected to their Board of Directors.

In addition to his professional accomplishments he also served as President of the Levittown Branch of the American Cancer Society and is an active member of the Alliance for Lupus Research. He has spent 33 years on the Board of Directors of the Levittown Chamber of Commerce, being honored as their Businessperson of the Year in 1995.

His political involvement began in 1974, when he was elected a Republican Committeeman in the Levittown South - North Wantagh Executive Area. In 1997 he was elected Executive Committeeman for the area and has served ever since on the Nassau County Republican Executive Committee.

He lives with his long-time better half, Gale Montello, in Merrick, where she is a real estate broker, and he has two beautiful children -- Hailey, a Binghamton University graduate who is obtaining her Masters Degree in Finance from Stony Brook University, and Chip, a sophomore Computer Science major at The State University of New York at Albany.
