June 10th

2012 - Sunday

1931 - Reno, NV. California Club opened at 238 North Center St, Reno, in the lobby of the Overland Hotel. Closed December 31, 1932.

2008 - Caruthersville, MO. Casino Aztar becomes Lady Luck Casino.

June 11th

2012 - Monday

1996 - Gary, IN. Majestic Star casino opens.


	When "riverboat" gambling became legal in Indiana the boats were required to cruise, and complimentary boarding passes were issued to all customers.

1996 - Gary, IN. Trump casino opens.


	Boarding was only allowed during a 30-minute period every two hours. Often the boats didn't go out, weather was the reason most cited, and you could debark at any time. Eventually legislation was passed that allowed the boats to stay docked.

2012 - Wednesday

1995 - New Orleans, LA. River City Crescent City Queen casino closes.

June 15th

2012 - Friday

1931 - Reno, NV. The Plaza Club opened at 320 Sierra Street; a bar that offered Chuck-a-Luck for 18 months.

June 16th

2012 - Saturday

1936 - Reno, NV. The Sierra Bar, 243 Sierra Street, was licensed for 21, until August 31, 1936.

1965 - Las Vegas, NV. Carousel Casino opens at 32 East Fremont Street, downtown Las Vegas.

1971 - Las Vegas, NV. Big Wheel Casino opens at 2440 Las Vegas Blvd. South, on the Las Vegas Strip.

1992 - Joliet, IL. Empress casino opens.
